Ben Frempah is a tough tackling ball winning centre half who can also play and is comfortable with the ball at his feet. Another great attribute Ben posses is his heading ability and is also quick.
Ben Frempah started off his non league career at Kent based club Fisher FC, where he spent the season playing week in week out during the 2012-2013 season. Through playing well at first team level at 17, Ben got the opportunity to trial at Charlton Athletic where he played a few U18 games in Cat 2. After the 6 week trial Ben was told he was allowed to train for the rest of the season but however was not going to be offered a contract.
The following season Ben signed for Ryman Premier side Cray Wanderers. After a few games he was invited to trial at League 2 side Chesterfield, but during his time at Chesterfield the opportunity to trial at Leicester City popped up. He played against Southampton on his first day and signed his first professional deal 4 days later.
Leicester won the championship this season and having a big squad with many 1st team players playing regular in the U21s Ben was not presented with much opportunity to prove himself, Ben moved to Ross County in the summer 2014/15 and become a fans favourite and after successive man of the match performances Ben was all of a sudden being scouted by a number of English Premier league sides. With Ross County under performing and at the foot of the table there was a change around in manager and Ben was left out for a number of games and chosen to play in the the U20s, Ben was unfortunate to suffer a break in his foot and sidelined for 16 weeks, on his return Ross County hit top form and survived relegation, 1st team opportunities did not come up again for Ben and the change of manager seen a large number of players released and Ben was one of them.
Still at the age of 19 Ben really gained a lot of experience playing senior football as a leading centre back coming up against the likes of Celtic. There will be very few English defenders under the age of 21 with these attributes and his experience.
