Ryan Astles

Ryan is a very big dominant centre half, a great leader, very physical, Ryan possess great attributes such as organisation, passing, heading, tackling, he has a great left foot and is very comfortable with his right, a very tidy player comfortable playing pretty football out from the back but can mix it up with his excellent range of direct passing.


Ryan Astles, a powerful centre half who spent his younger years at Tranmere Rovers and Chester City FC. At 16 he was offered a 2 year scholarship with Wigan Athletic. He made appearances for the Wigan Athletic Reserve side aged 16. He also captained the Wigan Youth Team.

In the Summer of 2012 Ryan signed for Buckley Town in Wales. He also played a number of trial games at Stoke City U21s.

Ryan signed for Welsh Premier league club Rhyl in 2013 and has been a regular at centre back playing a full 90 minutes in almost every competitive game since signing.

In 2014/15 season Ryan scored 6 goals picked up players player, fans player, managers player, committee player and nominated for Welsh Premier league young player of the year.
